2. The rental contract is with the supplier

When you complete a booking you enter into a rental agreement with the supplier, not with us. Their terms govern the vehicle, the insurance cover, the fuel policy, the mileage allowance, the deposit arrangements, the age and licence requirements, the cancellation and amendment rules, and everything that happens at handover and return. Read them before you confirm. Where anything in the supplier's terms differs from a description on this site, the supplier's terms apply.

3. Driving requirements in Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka requires visiting drivers to hold a valid temporary local driving permit in addition to their home driving licence, and drives on the left. Information published on this site about permits, licences, documents and driving conditions is provided in good faith as general guidance and may change without notice. It is not legal advice. You are responsible for confirming the current requirements with your supplier and with the relevant authorities before you drive.

4. Prices, currency and availability

Prices shown on this site are supplied by the rental companies and are quoted in euros. They change frequently and are only confirmed at the moment the supplier accepts your booking. Local costs such as fuel, expressway tolls and parking are paid separately in Sri Lankan rupees and are never included in a quoted daily rate. Availability shown in search results reflects what the supplier's system reported at the time of your search and is not a guarantee that a specific vehicle will be held for you.

Vehicle images and model names indicate a category. Suppliers routinely provide a similar vehicle from the same class.

5. Affiliate relationship

We earn a commission from suppliers when a booking made through this site is completed. This does not change the price you pay. We do not accept payment in exchange for ranking a supplier higher in search results.

6. Your responsibilities

You agree to give accurate details when you search and book, to use the site only for lawful purposes, and not to scrape, copy, resell or systematically extract its content. You are responsible for holding the documents and permits your supplier requires, and for meeting the age, licence and payment-method conditions attached to the offer you select.

7. Limitation of liability

We take reasonable care to keep the information on this site accurate, but we provide it without warranty. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for loss arising from a supplier's acts or omissions, from a vehicle's condition or availability, from an interruption to the site, or from your reliance on general guidance published here. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

8. Complaints about a rental

Raise a problem with the vehicle, the handover, a charge or a refund directly with the supplier, because they hold the contract and the evidence. If you cannot make progress, write to us at [email protected] and we will do what we reasonably can to help you reach them.

9. Intellectual property

The text, layout, imagery and branding of this site belong to Drive Colombo Group or are used with permission. Vehicle photographs and supplier names remain the property of their owners.

10. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms as the service changes. The version published here is the one that applies. These terms are governed by the law applicable at our place of establishment, without affecting consumer rights you hold under the law of your own country of residence.
